Avison Entertainment was formed out of the ashes of Soundtrax Music Inc. in 1999. The Original DJ Manager of Soundtrax Music; Ian Belanger, enlisted the help of a friend and fellow music remixer Curtis Avison. Soundtrax Music went bankrupt and left 20 brides and grooms without dj's for their upcoming weddings that had been booked with Soundtrax. Curtis Avison and Ian Belanger took it upon themselves to DJ these remaining weddings and help out those who would have been in need.
Since that day Ian has moved to Florida for a teaching job and Curtis Avison has carried on the business model which embodies a few major necessities in the wedding industry: Punctuality, Reliability,and Fun! Curtis has gone on to DJ hundreds of weddings from Holland, MI to Detroit, MI. He dj's weekly at multiple nightclub and bars, and has a deep training in country, top 40, oldies, jazz, movie showtunes, and many other types of typically played music at weddings.
